New fire risk safety recall - do you have a Hotpoint or Indesit washing machine?

on Thu, 02/01/2020 - 5:58pm

Over 500,000 Hotpoint and Indesit washing machines are being recalled, plunging manufacturer Whirlpool into a fresh saga over dangerous appliances.

The machines, branded as Hotpoint or Indesit, which are brands owned by Whirlpool, were sold for more than five years between October 2014 and February 2018, but their door locking system can overheat creating the risk of fire.

If you've bought a Hotpoint or Indesit washing machine since 2014, you should urgently check whether your model is affected using the link below.
