Need clinical advice but aren’t in a life-threatening emergency?

on Mon, 08/02/2021 - 6:39pm

Hospitals across the county remain under pressure and so residents are encouraged to contact NHS 111 first via 111 online (click) or by phoning 111 if they are thinking of attending an Emergency Department.

NHS 111 is a national system that people can contact if they need clinical advice, when it’s not an emergency.

People who need clinical advice but aren’t in a life-threatening emergency are encouraged to contact NHS 111 first before attending their local Emergency Department (A&E).

Remember, if you need emergency help now, always call 999.
