Dear Friends,

Life is often described as a journey and when we want to celebrate it or make sense of it some of us turn to the church. We have had two christenings this weekend and look forward to more in the coming months. A baptism (christening) is a sacrament, a visible sign of God’s love for us. In baptism, we thank God for his gift of life and publicly acknowledge his love. It marks a new start: a decision to follow Jesus Christ within the family of the church and you can be christened at any age. Some of us may have been christened as a baby or when we were very young and godparents made promises on our behalf. Now may be the time to explore those promises, to discover whether or not we want to make them our own. Please do email or phone me if you would like to think about baptism or confirmation. I would love to hear from you.

Blessings,
Leonora
