Griffin Hall, Sparsholt to become temporary sheep shearing and lambing station
Sadly, Griffin Hall in Sparsholt has been little used during the Covid19 pandemic.
In an effort to raise some much needed finances for the hall, the committee has had to come up with a number of more creative, seasonal ideas.
Aside from the 'Clothes Drop-Off' on Saturday, 3rd April (click <here> for more information), the hall looked like it was going to remain unused for a further few weeks.
Somewhat foolishly perhaps, a local farmer (who wishes to remain anonymous) has booked the hall for the lambing and shearing of his flock, as the hall provides step-free access for sheep, a warm and welcoming atmosphere and a wipe-clean floor.
Our pubs have banded together and will provide complimentary mint sauce.
Knitting needles will be provided for those that prefer to knit.
